VOXUS Launches Cleantech Sensation, M2E
Power
M2E Power
M2E Power, Inc. is commercializing a renewable
energy platform called “M2E” ---- motion to energy.
It will free mobile electronic device users from
the need to regularly recharge or replace
batteries. The company’s patent-pending technology
taps the kinetic energy of everyday human or
vehicle motion to continuously generate and store
power in mobile devices – from night vision goggles
to cells phones and MP3 players – thereby saving
electricity, eliminating waste and increasing
everyday usability.
The Challenge
When VOXUS partnered with M2E Power, the company
was in early-stage stealth mode. They wanted to
leverage an upcoming funding announcement to unveil
M2E Power to the world. Due to the sensitive nature
of the technology, they did not want to provide
specific product details to press. To complicate
issues, M2E had virtually no corporate collateral.
The team at VOXUS worked with M2E to generate
corporate and product messaging, and create
marketing and media collateral for the launch. This
information would be key to the success of the
media outreach. The message was extremely
compelling – but if not presented properly, could
be overlooked by press.
The client’s objective was simple – following the
announcement, M2E wanted to get contacted by
high-ranking armed forces officials and executives
at large mobile device manufacturers. To accomplish
that, M2E would need to be covered by a broad range
of diverse media outlets. The crossover of topics –
including mobile devices, cleantech, battery power
and more – presented a complicated media landscape.
The goal was to conduct a series of media briefings
with venture capital, business and cleantech
publications, and push the collateral hard through
back channels for quick publication.
Our Results
In under 30 days, VOXUS worked with M2E Power to
help create all corporate collateral, including
messaging, backgrounder, FAQ, press releases,
website content, boilerplates, executive materials
and more. The team also served as the central
management hub for all documents and coordinated
with investors and contractors. Finally, the team
arranged a series of briefings with both industry
analysts and business, cleantech, trade and local
news media. And the news stuck a chord with outlets
around the world.
Following its funding announcement, M2E Power was
contacted by the U.S. Army. The company was also
contacted by executives at Motorola and Nokia. In
addition, to date, VOXUS has secured coverage for
M2E in more than 200 outlets around the world
