California-based
Glassdoor debuted this week with
essentially the same business model as
Seattle-based TrenchMice, which closed up shop
the end of April. It's a career community where
anyone can find and share (anonymously) insider
looks at companies. Glassdoor boasts executives
from companies such as Zillow, Expedia and
TripAdvisor, and its "sneak peek" companies
include Cisco, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! But
since TrenchMice closed because it plateaued in
traffic, it'll be interesting to see how
Glassdoor overcomes that problem.
