[Tips and Tricks]

Our teams work hard to understand the ins and outs of our client’s businesses and technology. In turn, we like to provide some PR tips and tricks that can ensure a seamless and productive working relationship. So if you’re thinking about working with VOXUS, we encourage you to take these to heart. We certainly do.

1. Communicate. PR is all about clarity of message. That doesn’t just apply to external communication, but internal everyday interaction. At VOXUS we prefer if you cut to the chase. Convoluted messages require more time to understand, and therefore, cost you more money.

2. Inform. We’re experts at weeding through information. The more you can provide at the outset regarding your company, new product or service, research, etc., the better. Companies often skimp on the information they provide to a PR firm, yet this just results in burning extra cycles to get the information we need.

3. Close the loop. On the rare occasion that media do go directly to you for access, quickly refer them to the PR firm – or immediately close the loop afterward with the PR team. The acceptable business practice for responding to a media inquiry is one business day (but immediately is even better).

4. Plan. We understand that every event or launch can’t always be perfectly planned. However, when possible, have a quick planning session with your PR firm to outline objectives, goals and deliverables. This includes establishing a spokesperson.

5. Collaborate. Keep in mind we're here to save you time. Instead of funneling all activity through your inbox, streamline projects like white papers, bylined articles and case studies by putting us directly in contact with your colleagues and customers. At VOXUS, we value the ability to tap into an expansive group of resources and will be sure to keep you in the loop every step of the way.

6. Educate. While we're adept at technology, there's always more to learn. Don't hesitate to pass along links to useful resources such as white papers, webinars, training sessions, demos, etc. It helps us stay smart, and won't cost you a dime.

7. Share. As part of your team, it's important that we know what's going on. Sharing information and feedback (good and bad) is the best way to help us do our job.

8. Trust. We know we have to earn your confidence, and it's always one of our main objectives. We promise to do so.
