LinkedIn Sponsored Updates work. The targeting capabilities are phenomenal and it is, hands down, the best platform for B2B marketers to advertise and generate quality leads. Which is why I was thrilled to learn from our LinkedIn account rep that the company was making several new improvements to its Campaign Management tool.

This new update that LinkedIn began rolling out to advertisers over the past few weeks is not only more intuitive, but it gives you even more control and visibility when advertising on LinkedIn. Here are the top four enhancements you should know about:

  1. More flexibility. You have the option to either start your campaign immediately or schedule it for a later date. Draft mode also allows you to come back to your campaign and edit it before it’s launched.
  2. Search is simplified. Looking to find out how the eBook performed that you promoted a year ago or all the eBooks you’ve ever promoted over a lifetime? No problem! With campaign search, you can easily search for and find the campaign your looking for in seconds.
  3. More visibility and detailed reporting. Get a real-time breakdown of all social actions related to your Sponsored Updates, including likes, comments, shares and follows. You also have the option to export all of the data to CSV.
  4. Audience insights. Get real insights into who is clicking on your ads by Industry, job function and seniority.
